There is no provision to make any vaccine mandatory. It is interesting that some people who oppose many vaccines are saying that they would welcome a vaccination against the COVID-19 virus.
There's a difference between fearing a vaccine for something you might not get anyway, and for which there is a treatment -- like shingles, which can be stopped in its tracks if you get treated with acyclovir within 3 days of onset -- and something like COVID-19, which we still don't know how to treat (or if there even is a good treatment).
I think that most people want a vaccine, if it's found to be safe. And that's why the development process is going to take a year -- no one wants to vaccinate hundreds of millions of people and THEN find out that there is some horrible side effect or reaction to it.
