In theory, MicroLED displays should offer perfect blacks, excellent color, and near-perfect off-angle viewing, just like OLED, but they should also be even brighter, very slim, immune to burn-in, and, in the long run, less expensive to make than OLED.Mar 31, 2020

Two things to remember is that although QMC did not have QD film sales, they did make their own QDX Rec 2020 QD LED for displays, which no other QD company has said they can do.
MicroLEDs need QDX Rec 2020 QD for the color gamut, highest brightness, environmental resistance and durability/longevity.
One difference between making QDEF and MicroLED is that the latter has a high startup cost, and the superior QD are integral to the success of the display. IMO, there may be more opportunities to license OEMs this time.
