On other trading platforms you can see more detail than level 2 provides, but I'm not day trading and don't bother. Keep in mind though, MM's do use those tools and can see individual asks/bids, not just the total per brokerage house. They can toy with us all day long if they want, and as I've pointed out before, they don't mind breaking the rules. The token fines they pay every year for their "minor" infractions don't even come close to the coin they make.
