It’s not like the regular flu; the regular flu vaccine has nothing to do with COVID19. SARS1 has been around for 15 years, still no vaccine. So normally, I’d say you’re right, and there’s no chance in Hell for a traditional vaccine before maybe 12 months at the earliest.
There are some new platforms that may have a chance, though. Not hanging my hat on that. What WILL be the interim solution is treatments bringing this down to non-lethal. Those do exist, and you can bet they will be vetted and approved orders of magnitude faster than tests.
