While researching reports of blood clotting, I came across this cardiology paper from 2013 about Cytokine Storms and "Hemorrhagic Hurricanes".

What stuck me is the similarities of the hyper-inflammatory cascade (renal and other organ failure, blood clots, sepsis) described back then and the covid symptoms of severe/critical patients reported recently.
While it is quite possible that SARS-CoV-2 directly attacks various organ tissue (via ACE2 receptors), I'm curious how many of the other critical symptoms, particularly on the the vascular side (blood clots, etc.), could be attributed to the immune overreaction and thus, possibly be mitigated by leronlimab.
It would've been great to hear Dr BP's view on this yesterday
