It is for blood pressure. It’s an ARB, Angiotensin Receptor Blocker. The body has a system called RAS that helps to regulate our blood pressure. Long story short there is an enzyme called ACE2 that appears to be how (or part of how) Covid gains entry into our body to begin its path of destruction. If it utilizes that pathway, which certain blood pressure drugs naturally inhibit, perhaps it could help to use an ARB or an ACE Inhibitor. That’s probably what they’re studying.
