Why would it? Each drug or in this case device is judged on its own safety and efficacify from clinical trials. In this case, I would assume the accuracy of the device would be pivotal. There does not appear to be perfection as the gold standard.

Obviously, the FDA has favorites. They shouldn't be playing favorites right now though as these tests are in high demand.
