Exactly. That's the only scenario which fits. He has more than enough money to fix the pipes even at his own ridiculous estimate of $175,000. Yet he doesn't.
If a person looks at everything which happened for the past eleven years and looks at the most rational reasons why the founder and the current CEO took the actions which they took, it doesn't paint a good picture...and that picture is in stark contrast to the picture they painted with their words.
