Great question Misiu. I think clarithromycin may prolong QT interval also, but I have never used it. In fact, I have never combined HCQ with antibiotics, but it is possible that people on HCQ may sometimes get ZPak for sinuses from urgent care center or something.
As you say, in mild cases, combining HCQ with vitamins maybe enough and safer. I don't think we will see a study here for awhile due to stigma in testing positive right now, and admittedly lack of testing availability in some cases. People are thinking, as long as you are home, why take the risk of being in a study since viral load exposure at the clinic site might also affect disease symptoms. Of course, getting your personal doctor to do it and follow them privately without being in a study is likely what many are doing. And we won't know if it is working. All the studies seem to be in hospitalized patients who are sicker and may not benefit. This is an interesting situation. Just IMO
