Re: Rubraquercus #27567
Rubraquercus,
Not sure what your "slant" is, but I beg to disagree with you.
First, all lives are equal in my book. So I don't have any priorities in my list once the "glorious" FDA, whose main task should be to see and advocate for the American people interests, is doing exactly the oposite and ignoring the help that can be offered.
We can go into a discussion on procedures and all that, but I have expressed before my belief that the FDA is not unbiased (apologies for the double negative). For sure it has NOT been with CYDY and many members here can give you a list longer than your arm's length on the loops we have been given to jump through (still we don't have a BLA, and, believe me, it is not because of CYDYs fault)
What shall be done then ?? Sit on our hands with a product that will save lives ??? (American or otherwise) and that has an expiration date on it ???
No sir.
If WE are not smart enough me being part of the problem as, in Joseph de Maistre's words:
Then somebody else will be. I remember NADER saying that other countries wanted to but every vial available of Leronlimab. Why ?? Because THEY where thinking about THEIR people and wanted to be ready, even with an unproven drug just in case it would help.
I wish our institutions where thinking the same way. Yet, they want 390 patients with some that will never get the drug and will die. A drug that is safe (for many years demonstrated) and that could save lives. I use the conditional as there has not been a proper trial, however this is time to think big.
Well, thinking big is not what we are doing, and apparently others are.
BTW, the world is big enough and it does not have to be China (not sure why you are making this assumption). Maybe you sense that they are the ones that are moving faster than we do ???
