It depends on the language in the bill as to the real extent of the factual meaning but background checks are needed as they may save a life here and there and of course programs are enhanced with those funds.

Now when you do a background check you then should not be restricted on purchase numbers. That is just like my old democrat trading friend that says Bill Gates shouldn't be able to make all that money.

At any rate to make Virginia law shake your head a bit, depending upon what state you live in. They allow open carry (designated by law).

I am licensed/conceal carry and have done so for the past 26 years. In my state you will go to prison if the concealed pistol/weapon is exposed however, I believe they flexed the accidental expose. I don't chamber my Glock as it will give me 2 seconds more to think before pulling, you can't bring that bullet back once it exits.

I remember in the 50's and 60's we open carried. It wasn't until around 1965/67 the laws went to only open carry shotguns, rifles were getting a bad rap due to the distance the bullets carried.

I would love to head out to Texas and just spend sometime with long range shooting and also a few automatics.
