Gottlieb was the guy at FDA. IMO, special interest (Big Tobacco) got him removed. If Trump loses the election and Republican controlled Congress in next election because of SE states his greatest loss will be Gottlieb leaving.
Hmmm... I can see how big tobacco turned on Gottleib after he created a separate section of the FDA to regulate tobacco further and then added in the nicotine devices. Many of the younger FDA rising stars migrated into the tobacco section and then left the FDA in frustration, leaving the Center only with careerists who kept on with the Obama culture of hating small business, seeing small business as indifferent to public health concerns and only in it for the money. So Gottleib resigned. By the way, you see that anti-small business bias even in the EUA group.
