IMO it’s time to put some effort into plan C to repair economies a bit in the intermediate term and deal with the science that people can get reinfected. This has been known for a couple of months. Let that sink in.
Plan A- containment failed due to a lack of early testing and high transmission rates
Plan B- shelter in place until herd immunity develops will help. Yes it’ll slow transmission but herd immunity might not develop as much as hoped because people can get reinfected.
Plan C- facemasks for all, get new disinfection tools into workplaces, transportation, schools, etc.?
Plan D- annual vaccines eventually, alongside continued better disinfection practices.
