They are preppers. They have their own government, financial wing and social welfare wing...Mormons do not believe in a pre-tribulation rapture, which is an extra-biblical idea. The Roman Catholic Church is even silent on the Rapture.
Nor do I. I grew-up in the RLDS church. I go to a congregational church now. However I still maintain much of what I was taught at a young age...it doesn't always track well with mainstream Christian belief. Mainly because I don't believe in the pre-tribulation rapture. My thoughts would better track with Planet X aka Wormwood with Canada, Mexico and the US being a safe zone. What happens after that is anyone's guess. Civilization could just restart with what is left or we could have the 2nd coming and further judgement.
