Why would ACS want to merge with SFT. As things stand now, with the deferred payment plan in place, they're in a win win situation. They make sales and bank the money and get to collect interest on it (in whatever ways), until payment is due, while, at the same time, SFT needs to dilute to stay in business.
It's a sweet deal for ACS, I wonder who, exactly, does the deals for us and how this one, in particular came about. I
It's also possible that since they are the putative, although not definitive, buyer of patents that they might be getting a discount, although that's just a guess. If they back out of the purchase, they keep the interest earnings, if not premium ones also.
