Why is FDA approval necessary? I am a retired dentist. When in practice most of the treatments, materials, and equipment used had no FDA approval and still don't. New unapproved treatments, drugs and materials are introduced daily. Aspirin and penicillin would take at least 10 yrs to win approval if ever. How did such a lame agency ever get control of the medical profession? How could the profession let this occur?
