Allopurinol is given to people with high uric acid , ( decreasing uric acid )
to prevent attacks of gout , and other problems related to high uric acid...
Allopurinol reduces production of uric acid..

BTW , not sure how much good I do for myself , but I also have special filters , and I drink alkaline water ..
