Washington Post article on Alzheimers -- several AVXL shareholders mention AVXL in the comments.

It's infuriating to read articles like this that act as if the 20 years and billions of dollars lost to amyloid therapy were somehow just failed clinical trials -- and they don't mention how companies and researchers who wanted to try non-amyloid-attacking drugs were bankrupted, or in the case of researchers, their research was not funded, because the amyloid-theory proponents controlled the federal grant process.
That's why AVXL's drugs are coming out of Australia, not the U.S. That's why U.S. researchers are frustrated and have gone into other research areas. No funding for anything but the failed amyloid theory -- for 20 years now.
