The Age of Joblessness
Thinking back over a year or so ago and remembering Rory delivered a presentation with the theme being "The Age of Joblessness", or some other catchy yet gloomy title like it. Not only then, but for some time, in every speaking engagement he was in, he would talk about how Verb was developing tools to help folks when this time came.
Unbeknownst to him, that time has come much faster than anyone could have predicted, evidenced by soaring unemployment numbers and a horrible Jobs report, with little signs that we have reached an apex.
Let me be crystal clear that in no way am I celebrating anyone's unemployment, and can truly commiserate with those who will feel the pain.
Yet, here little Verb sits, with a series of products designed to combat joblessness, headlined by the soon to be released Verb Live.
Whether it be sheer dumb luck or pure genius, we will never know. But I am truly amazed at the foresight less than a couple years after his talk.
