You speak of desperate measures and throwing everything at the wall. Yet, without properly structured studies, you cant tell what worked and how well it worked. Multiple drugs have multiple costs, side effects and patients who ordinarily take some of those drugs who now face constrained supplies.

We need the studies, even if they are somewhat rushed.
