If we continue to show good results we'll get funded. I meant it's too late to have a short-term impact on COVID-19.
I'm not sure where we would have gone with Brilacidin ABSSSI even if we weren't attacked but I wasn't just talking about us. There has been a huge lack of interest in infectious disease research because of low profitability.
Brilacidin ABSSSI along with many other drugs should have received government funding. $1B a year would have gone a long way over the past 20 years. Lord knows we've spent that budgetary pocket change on much less worthy causes over the decades. Hopefully we learn from this.
