Not that I wouldn’t believe the Chinese gov’t would do such a thing, even sacrificing their own people... but there have been numerous scientists from “the West” (sorry, no links in my back pocket) who have said that the genetic structure of the virus has distinct properties that show it was not lab-created.

That said, I’m sure the Chinese took maximum advantage of the situation once it developed!
