Great job! Nothing like supporting your investment and finding out if it works first hand.
With my simple experiment with the video I sent out the other day, I found the results pretty amazing. As of last night:
- 115 people had watched the video
- 35 of those people clicked on the link in my video
- Translates to roughly a 30% click through rate
That is 30% of the time, I put the information I needed to put in front of people's faces to sell the product. My inane video served its purpose. It captured peoples' interest enough (30% of the time) to get them to check out the information that would sell the product.
Now what would happen if I developed a crafty little sales pitch of a video instead of just me bopping around to music?
What would happen if the link people clicked on was actually better set up as a sales tool or marketing brochure instead of just a download page?
What would happen if it was live video??????
What would happen if I was sending the video to people who were motivated and targeted instead of me just blasting it out to iHang and a few other places?
I was pretty amazed and I think it is supporting evidence that the technology and methodology works. I can't wait to see your results of actual data trying to really sell something.
