The technology has been around for years. There are papers written about its use for decontamination. Personally, I’m not a proponent of the method but that’s my choice. Mass decontamination with that method will still leave debris like hair, sloughed-off skin, mucous from contained sneezes that isn’t apparent with inspection, etc. from another person, decontaminated or not.

I’d wear a coffee filter with scotch tape first.
