who pays for the drug.....My experience in 2012 with an experimental drug, would it get covered by insurance, the company agreed and my wife got the wildly expensive injections (3 x $23k each) to enhance stem cell production before apheresis to filter them out.

Some people may actually pay the cash price out of pocket if they have the resources and/or their insurance sucks.
