I would suspect there is a large contingency out there that are well aware, like the rest of us, that the company needs to raise money. This seems to be lost in the conversation. Yes, NP has stated he would like it to be minimally dilutive, but NP doesn't get to dictate terms when he's the one asking for the money. When you couple that with the consistent muted moves following great news, I can see why each increase is greeted with selling pressure.
