Interesting about that list - aren't we the only one with a peptide vaccine, as opposed to RNA or DNA vaccine?
That is an important difference. There are no RNA or DNA vaccines on the market, and now they are fast tracking Moderna's RNA vaccine. Who knows if it is even safe, let alone does it work. In one of the earlier epidemics a vaccine was tested that resulted in the side effect of permanent Narcoplepsy in many subjects. Additionally, some vaccines backfire and make the patient MORE likely to get the target virus, not less likely. Normally it takes 10-20 years of testing to bring a totally new type of vaccine to market. We're all going to be guinea pigs with any fast tracked RNA vaccine.
So, the fact that ours is a peptide vaccine, which has been proven safe and effective, is a really big deal. I'm sure the public understands none of this, but you know the scientists at the NIH probably do.
