I believe, several years ago prior to my son going to central Africa for a year he had to take chloroquine for a month before leaving the states to make sure there was no untoward side effects, which included if I recall correct, possible delusional states. He had no problem prior to the trip, nor during the his sojourn, nor upon his return when he continued to take it. Just one persons story.
