My last job was in the clinical trial department of pharma company and there are very specific inclusion/exclusion criteria, very specific data collection needs that are then analyzed to determine efficacy and safety.
The focus needs to be on getting a proper trial up and running. We have lost a week in redoing trial design (unfortunately almost every study we do has this extra step)
