I received from a friend very good video from medical conference from Harward Medical School about coronavirus..
It is 1.35 minutes but I will like to post few things we may need to know to be at least little more ready.....
.
--Globally or locally we not prepare , never are , some until now making jokes and dont appreciate the importance of what is going on , this is not a flu..
--this virus was only identify January 7 , 2020
--about 50% of patients don't have a fever..
--nasopharynx most sensitive , tests for COVID-19 might be positive for weeks after recovering , but we still dont know if virus is livid..
--mortality we see now , up to 1-3% mostly elderly , and sick, but as always may happen at any age...
--we need at least 50% of population to become immune to this virus , threw sickness or vaccination , to stop spread ..
--Social distancing is very important at this time , and some making jokes ..
they giving example from 1918 , when in Philadelphia they had big parade , going out to bars etc , and curve was very high , which mean more patients then hospitals could have , very high mortality..
and at the same time in St Luis , all was cancel , people stayed home for couple of months as much as possible , it was enough hospital beds and help , mortality very low.
--as it is looking now , we about 10 days behind Italy
--Virus is also recover from fecal material , not sure if can be transmitted this way.
--very new virus , tests still may not be very reliable
--two ways of protection nation...
in USA they want flatten curve , quarantine ,
in UK , not to quarantine , get immune ( by exposure if no vaccination ) as soon as possible , so everything over sooner..
