Does anyone know the specific defensin subgroups Brilacidin mimics?
There are 3: alpha, beta and theta
I've emailed Innovation asking them but haven't heard back.
According to the studies linked on the IPIX website, the antiviral potential may differ for different subgroups and even within those subgroups.
This stock is definitely a gamble because there is no strong evidence that gives Brilacidin a great chance against covid-19. Not saying it won't work, just that it's very much a case of we won't know until it's tried.
