There is NO safety reason for the exchanges to be shut down. In the era of open outcry, people shouting and slobbering on each other as the stood close together, that was one thing. But now, everything can be done online.
They may shut the exchanges down but it will be an EXCUSE to prevent a further melt-down. It won't be from necessity.
