The rumors out there on treatments though are ridiculous. From people talking about gargling w salt water to Vitamin c infusions. There was a guy on FB stating that they are treating people w HIV drugs in the ICU at my hospital. I commented that this was not true and he flipped out stating he was an RN there. I then asked what unit he is on bc I'm an ICU attending at his hospital and he blocked me. The misinformation and the crazies out there are making this situation so much worse. This virus is a once in a lifetime thing but in this crazy political environment in the age of the internet it's almost too much too handle.
