Reached out to Michael Zasloff M.D., Ph.D about Brilacidin who is a Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics along with being a scientific director at Georgetown University. This is what he said:

I think brilacidin and other AMPs have a potential to be of use. The issue will be the mode of administration (pulmonary vs intravenous), dose, dosing regimen, etc.
