The way I think/hope things are happening now is that they want to take the first step of identifying the peptides to show the vaccine is moving along. They may think they can have a more effective IPO with more concrete progress.
So if we wait another week or so, and they cut loose with some really good, high-profile news, maybe NGIO doesn’t spin to zero fanfare but as a company people are interested in. If that’s the case, it will be well worth the wait.
Hy, don’t forget that, even once the S-1 is approved for GNBT, Joe gets .92 on the dollar for each share, and we get diluted (plus those shares will possibly hit the market and put downward pressure on the price). So as much as Joe wants to do things like close the AltuCel deal, he’s not going to pull, say $5MM out at a cost of 7.5MM shares.
We only get one shot at the NGIO spin, and there is a lot riding on it. If it gets screwed up, we’ve lost one of our best weapons. So if it comes to fast or right, I’ll wait for this one to be right.
