Not necessarily. They could have hit on the side of the reservoir. With the survey they did, knowing that they were on the side of the reservoir and knowing the depth of the side gave them valuable knowledge about where to drill next. This could be why the sold off most or the % after they got back drilling costs. The next well could be lots better. This is all JMO
