No one is villifying the homeless. The difference between them and cruises are they are in an unfortunate circumstance that everyone wants to avoid and will be hard hit by this disease The argument can be made that ignorant well intentioned policies help exacerbate the problem but that is a debate for somewhere else
Anyone with an ounce of common epidemiological sense knows this disease is not containable. Never was To do so would require the closing of the border, air travel, and mass draconian, "fascist" policies like banning cruises, gatherings --things that may be argued as unconstitutional and have have Nancy and Crying Chuck as well as judges in meltdown. Remember the images of people being tossed into vans at gunpoint in China. We can't do that here or in EU.
How many people with cold symptoms will agree to get tested, unless forced, knowing that if they are positive, they will be treated like a leper by society. Seems we have a problem here. Fauci will probably admit as such in a month once we are all positive and the panic subsides.
Hopefully the true death rate is less than 1%, and leronlimab helps those in need.
