“To ensure we are able to test as many people as possible, we urgently need the CDC to increase our supply of COVID-19 test kits and expedite the approval of any testing approaches developed by private companies,” the mayor said in a tweet Thursday morning.
Let's say we do have the science of a test kit underway, how long would it take to get it approved, manufactured, and distributed? Even if it gets fast-tracked, I would assume a couple of months?
If we aren't close w the science... certainly it could be significantly more than that...
