The base patent, control # 12/891,875 issued Nov 13, 2012 is the "meat" of the NUNCHI Platform or Framework is another term used. The base nor add on patents are not smart device applications, such as those people download. Here's a company statement from the website:

When a new idea comes up, EDIG files add on patent apps and claims them to be the benefit of it's base 875. All of them are called continuation patent applications.
The same thing was done with the Flash-R Patent Portfolio. 774 was 1st, then 4 more followed. Each addition to the base makes the portfolio stronger, boxing out the competition to a degree.
Very smart move on EDIG's part to continue strengthening it's platform.
