It's not a virus. It's a new feature that was added this morning. If you wish to disable it, go into the Show Info Box, scroll down to the bottom left, and there you go. If you have multiple stock specific boards marked, and you don't wish emails from them when anyone posts, just into into your settings to the email notification link, and set it how you want.
