It was Gileads new drug. Unfortunately if you look up the side effects to that drug, there is Raised serum aminotransferase or alkaline phosphatase levels Descriptive terms are also applied to these grades, with Grade 1 indicating mild, Grade 2 moderate issues in liver. And these were early studies.. Gileads drugs always seem to mess with liver function. Gilead currently is being sued for cause of NASH with their drugs in HIV patients. So they would definitely not be my first choice of treatment in any kind of disease. Something more safe is needed, but if it helps short term and any damage can be reversed, then so be it.
New here to the board as I got in a couple months ago when news started about the new trial for IBS, but not really looking at this from a corona virus angle. As I know Antibiotics generally do nothing for viruses. Was mainly interested in how this treats IBS and from what I am reading, the results seem pretty amazing. Delivery to the locations it needs only and do not pass to the blood stream make it very effective. I was reading quite a bit and some folks mention anti-inflammation properties of the drug, says it works, but can anyone explain the actual process in which it works? I know quite a lot of people who suffer from IBS including family members.
Thanks, looking to add more in the future, for long term. GLTUA and thanks in advance for any information.
