Long Post for Investors (redflix S6E07)
VERB SURPASSES ONE MILLION APP USERS GLOBALLY
VERB Achieves Major Growth Milestone
Here I go again...
How long did it take some of the biggest names to get to 1,000,000 users?
Some of the biggest names...
Instagram was downloaded by 1,000,000 people within 2.5 months
Spotify hit its 1,000,000th user 5 months after launch
It took Dropbox 7 months to get 1,000,000 users
Facebook reached 1,000,000 users in 10 months
It took Foursquare 13 months to score 1,000,000 downloads
Pinterest reached 1,000,000 unique visitors 20 months after launch
It took nearly 24 months for Twitter to reach 1,000,000 users
Tumblr hit 1,000,000 blogs in 27 months
Do you know what the difference between all those very popular sites and VERB?
It's a BIG one...
All those sites are free
Yup, free
To reach 1M paid app users is incredible for VERB
And it's not 1M free users either
Last I checked, each of those free user companies are even still in business
Let's take a look at Dropbox
Then now have 14 million paying users
Still have free users though
Average revenue per paying user is $123.15 or about $10/mo
You know what 14M users x $120 is?
$1.6B which is what Dropbox thinks they will make this year
Dropbox is a $8B+ company but has failed to turn a profit under generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
In Q3, its net loss was $17 million, nearly triple the $5.8 million lost in the same period last year.
OMG, losing money?
But there are some that think all tech companies need to be profitable from the get go
BTW, Dropbox has nothing special
Google has Google Drive and Microsoft has One Drive
They are competing with the big boys
With 1M users, when VERB get to $10/mo per user
That is $120M/yr in revenue
If they double the number of users in the next year like the last year
That's 2M million users. Even just $5/mo per user gets you to $120M of revenue
The faster they get there, the higher the multiple
If they get there fast, the company would be valued at over $1B
But do your own DD rather than asking others...
You'll feel much more confident in whatever your investments are
