Some detractors have made it sound like Brilacidin is just one of a vast number of drugs that will be investigated in regards to coronavirus and for that reason it is not even known if it will be one of those tested.
IMO Brilacidin should be right at the top of a very short list due to its passing of many clinical trials to date, its excellent safety profile, its properties of being antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulatory,, and thus I do not believe that there are really that many top flight choices of drugs that are even being considered that could be ramped up quickly to combat the current threat that are as attractive as Brilacidin appears to be .
This is the beauty of these funded investigations of Brilacidin, they will highlight what a unique and multi-faceted drug it is to a whole new host of research facilities.
