If I recall correctly, back when we acquired Brilacidin it was reported to also have some antifungal and antivirus properties. I would think however, that since it has a well established and highly effective anti-inflammatory ability, that it would be very useful to treat those that are very sick in ICUs on ventilators to address inflammation in the lungs. Steroids can really beat down an immune system so they can’t be used in every case and Brilacidin is safe.
