Junebug, completely correct. I used to visit a company (Senomyx) that traded around $1 to $1.10 and Firmenich bought them at a 43% premium and all those holding shares received $1.50 per share into their account. There was no more trading once the buy out was announced.
I am unsure how many days it took, however it was very quick per my plant contact.
For those who are nervous with buy out talk. Please take a deep breath.
Doc's 4 companies are worth around $2 to $2.50 per share. (this is my estimate and could be low). Now add in EuroMed and their 30+ products PLUS projected International sales PLUS the RAD deal and the value is probably around $4 and then add a premium to buy all Doc's expertise, clinical trials, technology etc and we are probably at around $4.50 to $5. (my low estimate).
If I am offered $5 per share tonight - I will take it !!! i.e. If Doc asks the shareholders to vote on accepting a $5 per share buy out - I would vote Yes.
All my own opinion - please share yours !!
