If you're referring to the polls from '16, almost all predicted a popular vote plurality for Clinton and they were right.
75K votes in 3 States was a black swan event that won't be repeated.
The info in Wikipedia about the Southern Strategy is accurate, as is the quote of the apology for it by the head of the RNC. It's not a matter of opinion, much less fabricated by your boogeyman deep state.
