Whoever owns the shares at end of trading on Monday is due the div. I would have no way of knowing if any shares I bought were short sold. I believe the short seller would owe the div to the loaner. I don’t know how this would work with shares of a company that is not trading (NGIO). It is not a situation I would want to be caught up in so I will lock up my shares on Monday. I’ll put a sell for $10 and adjust up if we start to see a short squeeze.
