Hi all, I just heard back from the CEO of WebSafety. As most would have expected he couldn't get in to details about the postponement of launching his app. Some background: he and his wife started this company years ago to help with the addiction to cell phones and the internet usage by children. He did mention that his app is geared towards youth ages 16-20. It mostly is used by parents to oversee or control their child's web usage and web safety.
What was interesting in mentioning the delay in launching his app, (he apologized for it), saying there were other parties that he needed to be in discussion with about it. He did emphasize that the delay had nothing to do with patents, and he seemed strong in saying that his patents were all legit. So I took that as saying there were no patent infringements that were causing the delay.
It seems there are at least one(or more) entities involved in this discussion about the app. He said that he didn't want any info that he gave me to spark comments or theories of possible involvement by other companies or private labels so that is imo still a possibility but he wouldn't verify that.
I never mentioned ONCI nor bsafemobile. I wanted to get a feel for the reason for the delay in launching his app.
I could guess that he has possibly been approached by other companies interested in what he is offering. Our product would blend nicely with his as a separate piece designed for distracted driving.
This is all conjecture and theory right now but I was impressed that he took the time to call me back and he seemed very excited about the possibility of helping curb distracted driving in the age group of 16-20.
If I hear more I will share.
