I don't think the acquisition has anything to do with the call ins. The timing doesn't sync up for it to be that. Plus, Morgan Stanley is already a broker, so the transition should be seamless as it pertains to trading. The only things I would expect is for them to possibly change all the account numbers, and to maybe take some time switching over the more complex accounts. Simple trading accounts shouldn't be affected at all. IMO

When I called in an order earlier this week, the only thing I could get out of the broker is that the decision to have UNVC be dealt with this way was that of etrade. He made it clear that he wasn't allowed to give me any more information than that.
