MMPJOE, here is a post I put out earlier today in a discussion about how the short sellers can still be so brazen when there are so many good events on the horizon. I theorized the div is keeping a sort of safe zone, and once we clear the div dates, they won’t be so aggressive (85% of volume Thursday was short).
Any constructive thoughts you can share w us on the short issue?

Here is my best, most concise theory on the short selling.
I will preface this by saying I am not throwing stones at Joe, as the CMP/Veneto selling mostly created this extended div period.
Here it is, as we’ve all alluded to:
The div has put up a road block to ALL major initiatives that would drive real value to GNBT stock. Therefore, the div has created a “short safe zone” of sorts. It doesn’t matter that the short upside is low percentage-wise... it is virtually risk-free while the div sits in the future.
We must power thru the div no matter what this time. That is the key to shaking out the shorts and ending the manipulation.
